Cargo inspections

It is important for procedures and accuracy levels to remain consistent through out the entire cargo movement, bearing in mind that load and discharge facilities are frequently in different area. This need has resulted in the Dry cargo (bulk, containerized, bagged etc) and Petroleum industry having produced measurement standards for determining quantity and quality of Dry cargo and Bulk petroleum Shipments from source of cargo i.e. warehouses or shore tanks to different destination within and outside the country. This includes the following:-

  • Inspection on warehouse cargo storage damages resulting from handling by stevedoring operation during stacking and transfer in port warehouses.
  • Supervision on Bulk cargo bagging from ships and during storage at Dar es Salaam port silos and warehouses for standard weights and checking for quality, cargo contamination and infestation.
